The following events will be held by the Holmes County District Public Library in October. Call the library at 330-674-5972 to sign up or for more information about any of these events:

Story times at the Central Library will be Fridays, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 10 and 11 a.m. Kids age 2-5 and an adult are invited for stories, activities and songs. Registration is required.

Story times at the East Branch Library will be Wednesdays, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10:30 a.m. Kids age 2-5 and an adult are welcomed into the library for stories, songs, crafts and more.

Bigfoot Adventures at the Central Library will be Monday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. Amy Bue, award-winning Bigfoot investigator, author and co-founder of Project Zoobook, will present her findings and evidence of Bigfoot. Registration is required.

Second Saturday Book Sales at the Central Library will be Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop by the library to shop adult and teen fiction.

Boo Bash at the Central Library will be Monday, Oct. 25 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Kids with an adult are invited for trick-or-treating and a Halloween-themed story.

A book discussion for adults at the Central Library will be Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. on “Kitchens of the Great Midwest” by J. Ryan Stradal and “The Death of Bibek Oji” by Akwaeke Emezi at 6 p.m. Copies of these books are available for pickup at the Central Library.
